The archipelago, known as one of nicest and most suggestive landscapes of the world thanks to it's morphology, to the nature and the sea, from 1996 is been nominated National Park to preserve it's beauty.
The archipelago is situated in the province of Sassari, in the north part of the island in proximity of the famous Smeralda Coast.
The Maddalena, mother island, is the biggest and it's also the only one that presents human settlements.
